CAEP support

The NDC enhanced its sectoral targets for mitigation and adaptation components.

CAEP supported the update of the energy sector strategy, revising its targets and developing a methodology to measure greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions as well as calibrate the LEAP model.
CAEP supported the expansion of the adaptation strategy through feasibility assessments and regional workshops, which were run alongside the National Adaptation Plan (NAP).

Chad’s NDC enhanced the underlying modelling and analysis, as well as the wider alignment of targets and implementations components.

CAEP supported training sessions targeting national experts in macro-economic modelling and calculation of GHG emissions to feed into target setting.
Alongside the modelling work, CAEP support was used to organize training sessions for national experts in the MRV system.
