CAEP support

The NDC enhanced adaptation ambition through the development of their first National Adaptation Strategy.

CAEP supported adaptation planning through analytical support focusing on ecosystems-based development and potential for resilient infrastructure in the forestry sector.

CAEP support

Armenia’s enhanced institutional arrangements for implementation, aligned its NDC with national strategies and introduced national MRV system reflecting modalities, procedures and guidelines for the transparency framework for action and support.

CAEP supported capacity building of government officials, representatives of private sector, civil society organizations and scientific institutions on developing, implementing, and monitoring climate projects with key donor agencies.
CAEP activities additionally included engagement private sector supporting NDC financing and implementation. Engagement targeted companies, business associations, banks and other financial institutions.
CAEP additionally supported the development of IT, web and data management systems for registering and tracking the impact of climate project.

CAEP support

NDC’s public consultation process was conducted in a gender-responsive manner and encouraged participation of local communities, NGOs, youth, and other vulnerable groups.

CAEP facilitated analytical support towards the submission of a report on “Fueling Green Recovery in Armenia – advancing forest infrastructure and creating sustainable jobs for rural communities”.

Funded training for 34 officials, representatives of private sector, civil society organizations and scientific institutions to deliver more effectively on their tasks relating to developing, implementing, and monitoring climate projects with key donor agencies.

Supported the engagement with the private sector on their potential to support NDC implementation. This was done through workshops and seminars with 25-30 participants each, which targeted consulting companies, business associations, banks and non-banking financial institutions, and private sector companies operating in the domain of climate change mitigation.
