CAEP support

Ambition was raised through expanding the mitigation and adaptation targets

CAEP provided technical assistance to reflect national sectoral priorities and ambitions on adaptation, mitigation, and loss and damage.
Additionally technical assistance supporting the expansion of adaptation targets to include 166 Adaptation actions and 12 Loss & Damage actions, based on a review of 38 existing sector policies.

CAEP support

NDC quality has been enhanced by putting institutional arrangements in place, taking ownership for implementation and financing planning and establishing a customized MRV system.

CAEP supported the development of a roadmap for NDC implementation. The roadmap detailed the requirements for the implementation of the identified NDC actions, including costing and financing.
CAEP provided technical support for enhancing the existing virtual MRV tool to include the additional sectors and ensure efficient monitoring and reporting to UNFCCC.
