CAEP support

Indonesia’s NDC included an enhanced adaptation strategy developed alongside the low greenhouse gas emission development strategy. CAEP targeted this through:

Technical assistance for developing and adaptation strategy targeting three priority areas for building resilience: economic, social and livelihood and ecosystem and landscape.
Supporting workshops and consultations for NDC validation. The process engaged over 5000 participants from more than 50 agencies at ministry level and provincial governments, private sectors, CSOs representatives, research institutes and universities which play role in achieving NDC targets.

CAEP support

Indonesia strengthened the implementation and financial planning components of the NDC, through conducting a gap analysis around NDC financing and designing a comprehensive capacity building program.

CAEP supported analytical assistance for the gap analysis to identify priorities and facilitate implementation and financial planning.
Support additionally delivered a capacity building program with the aim of enhancing knowledge, coordination and inclusiveness in climate policy linked to NDC implementation.

One of the three priority areas of Indonesia’s adaptation strategy focused on social and livelihood resilience, which included strengthening the adaptive capacity of vulnerable groups and raising climate awareness.

CAEP support included the design of a public campaign for disseminating the NDC implementation strategy and engaging with civil society.
