CAEP support

Ambition was enhanced with the identification and prioritization of key actions within both mitigation and adaptation components of the NDC.

• CAEP supported the mitigation and adaptation Technical Working Groups in identifying and prioritizing mitigation and adaptation actions for the NDCs.
• Inclusion of additional gases and sectors to the NDC.
• Elaboration of a Marginal Abatement Cost Curve (MACC).
• Strengthening of the greenhouse gas (GHG) projections.
• Preparation of sectoral policy briefs to inform mitigation, adaptation, and crosscutting components of the NDCs.
• CAEP provided technical assistance to understand the health and economic implications of raising ambition of Pakistan’s NDC.
