CAEP support

Ambition was enhanced through setting higher emissions reductions targets, expanding the sectoral scope of targets and developing sectoral action plans aligned with the National Adaptation Plan.

• CAEP supported the development of Action Plans in five areas, spanning health, water, solid waste, transport and gender, which delivered the basis for a prioritization exercise of the NDC targets.
• CAEP provided technical assistance on developing the governance structure, competencies, and responsibilities for mitigation analysis of the NDC working group.
• CAEP supported national capacity building through an analysis of barriers, as well as a review of existing policy documents and stakeholder consultations to identify priority mitigation and adaptation actions.
